Insomnia



You struggle to sleep, but can't, during most of the nights of a week, in spite of nothing wrong. You are tired, but, yet you keep on tossing on bed till midnight. You pass your night staring at clock or moving fan. You suddenly wake in the middle of night and fail to fall asleep again. You get up early in morning and could not sleep again. You feel tired and exhausted in morning. WHAT IS INSOMNIA? INSOMNIA is a condition that causes either difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep. It is associated with poor sleep quality. Usually, most of the time, affected person does not feel sleepy easily, in spite of having time to sleep. Even if he is able to fall asleep, sleep may get disturbed in between and there could be difficulty in falling asleep again. Insomnia can affect anybody but it is commonly seen in elderly. It also affects women during their hormonal changes during menstrual cycle and at menopause. Insomnia can take serious toll on your abilities, performances and responsibilities. It must be treated timely to prevent grave consequences. It can spoil your mood and also your life quality.
